REPORT ON TESTING OF PLASTIC LUBRICANT MATERIAL MC-1000 IN BEARINGS OF CLOSED TYPE MADE BY VOLOGDA BEARING FACTORY


After the end of the comparative  testings of plastic greases MC1000 and Litol-24  in the closed type bearings, VMPAUTO and Vologda bearing factory have made up joint report.

According results of the comparative testing of the grease MC-1000 and Litol-24 the following resume have been done:

1. Litol-24 bearing loss is 2 times more then MC-1000 bearing loss (Pic. 2).

2. Comparative analysis of the infra-red spectrums of lubricant materials Litol-24 and MC-1000 has shown bigger absorption on the wave number 1733 sm-1 for Litol-24, that indicates Litol-24 bigger speed corrosion opposite to grease MC-1000. Bigger bearing heating with Litol-24 then with MC-1000, is indirect confirmation that MC-1000 provides lower friction coefficient then Litol-24.

3.  In average the drag torque bearing rotation with MC-1000 is lower on 6% then bearings with Litol-24, this is confirmed by analysis of used lubricating materials by method of infrared spectrometry (see previous conclusion).

4. Increase speed of parameter Dizm, which defines level of acoustic emission, for bearings with Litol-24 grease is 2,3 times above then for bearing with grease MC-1000. This is index of more slow damage accumulation process in bearing with MC-1000, then in bearing with Litol-24.

5. MC-1000 use is leading to probability decrease of bearings 256706 death during warranty assurance.
