According to the contract №1 dated 17.05.1999 concluded between a bus fleet №1 “Passengerautotrans” and LLC VMPAUTO the following program was developed and approved: test of the greases produced by VMPAUTO on the buses that are operated in the city.

The tests of the grease MC-1000 were conducted in two stages:
1. April, 2000 – February, 2001 (run – 50 000 km). The test results and economic proof n are attached.

2. 17.04.2001 – 13.02.2003 (run – 229400 km).
The results of control technical measurements are in the addendum.

- 76.13 – RUR 225
- Cost of grease Litol-24 on February 13th, 2003 – RUR 29,5 per 1 kg.
According to the data of “Passengerautotrans” the cost of the grease Litol-24 is RUR 36 100 per 1 ton.
- Cost of the grease MC-1000 on February 13th, 2003 – 135 RUR per 1 kg.

According to the operating instructions, grease consumption for lubrication of one bearing is 0,5 kg.
Cost of bearings and grease Litol-24 165+225+29,5= RUR 419,5
Cost of bearings and the grease MC-1000 165+225+135=RUR 525
100 gr of MC-1000 are applied on 2 bearings instead of 1 kg of Litol-24

Conclusion:
The use of the grease MC-1000 only for the bearings of the wheels centres saves RUR 1858/ 240 000 km (on one centre). It is the result of the increase of a bearing service life up to more than 3 times and the decrease of the quantity of grease applied during servicing. On a city scale 2000*4*1858=14 864 000 i.e. USD 500 000.

There was no estimate of costs for: works on replacement of bearings, losses because of a bus demurrage during repairs, decrease of the purchase amount of grease (transportation, storage and so on). It is necessary only 2,6 kg of MC-1000/ 240 000 km instead of 17 kg of Litol-24. There is no doubt that total benefits will be more tangible when the grease MC-1000 is used in the other assemblages and devices of a bus.
