“Pollution control of the motor cars”

There are restrictions in Europe that prohibit car exploitation with top-heavy harmful substances level in the exhaust gas.

The presence of the harmful substances in the exhaust gas is checked with help of special PCs.

Lancia Dedra 1.6 1992 with fuel injection and the catalytic converter was tested

PC has shown that the exhaust gas CH level is above the line!

RESURS is put into the car

In 15 minutes the CH level became normal!

This RESURS was put
in the Lancia Dedra 1.6i 1992

Product is made by VMPAUTO since 2002

In most civilised countries the exhaust pollution of the gasoline and diesel powered cars is checked by the authorities regularly. There are certain limits of the pollution values depending of the country but also of age of the car.

In the European Union the accepted pollution level is depending of the age of the car. If the car is older than 1978, there are not any fixed values as the limit but instead there should not be visuable smoke from exhaust. When car is manufactured between 1979 - 1986 the upper limit of the exhaust values measured at engine idling speed are as follows:
CO less than 4,5 %, HC 1000 ppm and Oxygen less than 5,0 %. The last figure is used to check that nothing illegal has been made to the system to get CO value lower. From 1986 until 1990 in most countries the requirements became more demanding. The limits are CO 3,5 % and HC 600 ppm. From 1991 came the new regulations concerning low pollution vehicles equipped with catalytic converter. Now the exhaust emissions are measured both at idling speed and at 2500 rpm. With help of the catalytic converter the values of the polluting gases are far lower and so are the limits. At idling speed CO must be 0,5 % or less and HC 100 ppm or less. At same time so called lambda-value is calculated mathematically and it must be between 0,97 - 1,03. Also the value of oxygen must be less than 0,5 % and for the control the value of CO2 must be less than 16.

The owners of the new cars do not have normally any difficulties to get the permission to continue the use of their cars. But in Finland, for example, the average age of the passenger cars is 10,5 year.  It means that when the engine is getting more kilometres and years behind it, the pollution from the exhaust may become severe enough to get a requirement of the repair at the test.

So, what to do? Isn’t the car has got good service? Is it necessary to repair the whole engine?

Very often this kind of problem is true with older car, because the engine has already run a long distance and maybe lost its best power. The owner hasn’t realised any changes, as he has not need the maximum power. The spark plugs, air filters and even engine oil has been changed according the service plan. So, from where the pollution is coming and what means shortcodes CO, HC, CO2, O2, NOx?

CO means carbon monoxide. It is the residue of the incomplete combustion and if this value is too high, the engine is just getting too much fuel. In the older cars without the catalytic converter the mechanic or even the car owner could adjust the mixture by himself to get a correct CO value but with modern engines it is regulated by the ECU, electronic control unit of the engine.

However it is not only gasoline, which is causing high CO and HC values. In fact, nobody knows the amount of the oil fumes coming through the closed ventilation circuit of the engine. If the compression pressure of the combustion chamber is passing the piston rings and causing a remarkable increase in the crankcase pressure, then too much oil fumes is flowing to the intake manifold and this way affecting the CO and HC values coming out of the exhaust pipe.

HC means hydrocarbon and as the value of the exhaust emission it means unburned hydrocarbon or “raw gasoline / oil fumes”. This value is measured in ppm or parts per million. So even a very slight increase of the effectiveness of the combustion, can have a big impact to this value. Normally it is just the too high HC value, which is giving the strongest headache, not only to the owner of the car but to the mechanics too.
These several factors affecting the amount of HC in the exhaust gas. The real tightness of the valves, the valve clearances, the timing of the camshaft and the timing of the ignition, all those are equally important factors. And not only the timing of the ignition, but also the actual ignition power or in fact everything which affects the combustion is playing an important role to limit the amount of HC in the exhaust gas.

Finally we are in the key point of the story, what to do now, when everything has been tried and the exhaust values, especially HC, are still too high?

The combustion must be improved. And the best way to improve the combustion is to repair the engine, to make it as new again.

The most economical way to repair the engine is the use of the ultimate hi-tech product called RESURS. Just put 50 -100 gram of this product of the nano technology in to oil of the engine. Let it run on idling few minutes and drive 20 – 50 kilometres. After this the millions of the small bronze particles from the RESURS are activating inside the engine by covering the worn parts and filling the microscopic scratches of the pistons and cylinder bores. The result is the compressions are as in a new engine, combustion is faultless and “approved” stamp on the papers of the car after the test!

With regular use of RESURS, the old engine can be kept in good shape and it can run with minimum pollution.

Too good to be true? No, not really. The car tuning specialists which can do everything to the injection and ignition systems, are using RESURS to get the best results of the tuning job. This way they can guarantee the faultless performance even for older cars for long period.

As an example there is Lancia Dedra 1.6i 1992 with fuel injection and the catalytic converter. The engine was basically in very good condition giving still full power for normal use, The only problem was that HC value was just a fraction over the limit of 100 ppm.

So the fuel injection expert of the biggest Bosch-Service in Helsinki, Kari Hätälä took one 50 grams bottle of RESURS, shaked it well and poured it in to the engine. Then he let the engine stay on idling and went to have a cup of good coffee with car owner.

When Kari Hätälä came back, he could proudly show to the car owner the new lower exhaust emission values. HC value was now 80 ppm. This means an improvement of 20 %! And all this in 15 minutes with a cost of 9 euro 10 cents!

This means so big help to reduce the greenhouse phenomenon, that the use of RESURS should be obligatory in every older internal combustion engines. At same time RESURS will save the money of the car owners as the engines are using less oil and less fuel.

This is a “trick” from the professionals. But everybody can use the same “trick”, to repair an engine using RESURS, saving our planet and saving by himself a little money also. Even you.
